Geldanamycin binds specifically to heat shock protein HSP90, inhibits protein maturation. Melting Point: 261-266.5ºC, Elemental Analysis: Calculated, C: 60.19%, H: 7.32%, N: 4.84, Solubility: Soluble in DMSO at 100mg/ml. Poorly soluble in methanol, ethanol and water, Not recommended for stock solutions. Maximum water solubility is ~20-50uM. Storage and Stability: May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
