CERK substrate

Substrate for ceramide kinase (CERK), optimized for use with beta-Octylglucoside mixed micellar assay. Assay conditions: Prepare a fresh 1:4 mixture of ceramide and ceramide buffer. Sonicate the mixture 3 times for 2 min. using a bath sonicator to make a 2.5 X solution (250 µM ceramide). A final ceramide concentration of 100 µM is recommended. Discard any unused substrate. Application: Useful as a substrate for CERK activity assays. Supplied as: A 2-component set containing sufficient reagents for 150 × 50 µl assays. Contains Ceramide (0.75 mL at 1.25 mM) and Ceramide buffer (2 × 1.5 mL). Prepare substrate immediately before use.
