Product information "Protein A (HRP)"
Source: Staphylococcus aureus, Cowan I Strain, Structure: Protein A is a monomeric protein lacking cysteine residues. Specificity: Protein A binds the Fc portion of human IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 (weakly), IgG4, and mouse IgG1 (weakly), IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3. Protein A also binds IgG from monkey, rabbit, porcine, guinea pig, canine, and feline. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Affinity Chromatography, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:8000 to 1:16,000. However, for any specific experiment, the conjugate should be titrated to get the highest signal possible with lowest background. Substrate Solution: 1mM ABTS in 0.1M citrate buffer, pH 4.2, 0.03% hydrogen peroxide. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
