NDGA is a non-selective lipoxygenase (LO) inhibitor which blocks cysteinyl leukotriene (CysLT) synthesis. NDGA inhibits A-23187-induced CysLT biosynthesis in rat peritoneal cells with an IC50 value of 5-7 µM.
