Product information "IMPDH2, Recombinant, Human, aa1-514, His-tag (Inosine-5'-monophosphate Dehydrogenase 2, IMP Dehydrog"
IMPDH2 belongs to the IMPDH/GMPR family. It catalyzes the NAD-dependent oxidation of inosine-5'-monophosphate into xanthine-5'-monophosphate, which is then converted into guanosine-5'-monophosphate. IMPDH2 is the rate-limiting enzyme in the de novo guanine nucleotide biosynthesis. It is thus involved in maintaining cellular guanine deoxy- and ribonucleotide pools needed for DNA and RNA synthesis. Also IMPDH1 and IMPDH2 are targets for the important immunosuppressive drug, mycophenolic acid (MPA). Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-514 from human IMPDH2, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E.coli. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
