Total RNA & DNA isolation  For total RNA and DNA isolation from tissues and cultured cells. Complete kit containing columns, collection tubes, buffer, RNase-free water and protocol handbook. Spin column format with glassfiber membrane technology, no need for phenol / chlorofrom extraction and ethanol precipitation. Allspin(TM) total RNA / DNA provides a convenient method for the isolation of total RNA and total DNA simultaneously from a single sample of tissue or cultured cells. DNA and RNA are purified separately from the same sample by individual but successive procedure using two differen columns respectively . The maximum sample size is 20 mg tissue or up to 1 x 107 cultured cells with a preperation time of about 30 minutes. Stable and consistent yield of up to 20 µg RNA / 1 x 106 cultured cells or up to 60 µg RNA / 10 mg liver tissue and up to 10 µg DNA / 1 x 106 cultured cells or up to 25 µg DNA / 10 mg liver tissue. The Allspin kit has a maximum binding capacity of 100 µg with a maximum loading volume of 700 µl and a minimum elution volume of 50 µl (DNA)/ 30 µl (RNA). The length of obtained DNA is up to 50 kb (average is 30 kb) and that of RNA is > 200 nucleotides. The purified RNA and DNA is ready for use in RT-PCR, northern blotting, dot blotting, in vitro translation, molecular cloning, RNase protection assays and other analytical procedures. | |||||
