FasL is a cytokine that binds to Fas/TNFRSF6, a receptor that transduces the apoptotic signal into cells. FasL is involved in cytotoxic T cell mediated apoptosis and in T cell development. Binds human FasL with an ED50 of <5ng/ml. Binds mouse FasL. , Sequence:, The Fc portion of human IgG1 is fused to the C-terminus of human Fas (aa 26-170). Biological Activity: Blocks the binding of FasL to Fas. Molecular Weight: ~47kD (SDS-PAGE). Endotoxin: <0.01EU/ug (LAL test, Lonza). Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
