Anti-TLR8 (Toll Like Receptor-8), Phycoerythrin conjugated, clone 4H285

The Toll-like receptor (TLR) family in mammal comprises a family of transmembrane proteins characterized by multiple copies of leucine rich repeats in the extracellular domain and IL-1 receptor motif in the cytoplasmic domain. Like its counterparts in Drosophila, TLRs signal through adaptor molecules. The TRL family is a phylogenetically conserved mediator of innate immunity that is essential for microbial recognition. Ten human homologs of TLRs (TLR1-10) have been described. TLR8 gene contains three exons, two of which have coding function. TLR8 cDNA codes for a protein of approximate molecular weight of 120kD. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 0.5-2ug labels 1x10e6 cells. Ramos cells can be used as a positive control., Western Blot: A band of ~120kD was detected with transfected cell lysates., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Western Blot: Transfered cell lysate, Flow Cytometry: Raw or Raw cells, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months at 4°C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
