Anti-Insulin Receptor alpha (IRa) (BSA & azide free), clone 3F220

The human insulin receptor is a heterotetrameric membrane glycoprotein consisting of disulfide-linked subunits in a b-a-a-b configuration. The b-subunit (95kD) possesses a single transmembrane domain, whereas the a-subunit (135kD) is completely extracellular. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, Tyrosine Kinase Assay and Inhibition of insulin binding. May also be used as insulin-like agonist. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: Both as capture and detection, Immunoprecipitation (Use Protein G): 2ug/mg protein lysate, Tyrosine Kinase Assay: Antibody-mediated capture on microtiter plates , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: IM-9 lymphocyte cells and Placenta , Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
