Product information "Anti-Hypoxanthine Phosphoribosyltransferase 1 (HPRT1, Hypoxanthine-guanine Phosphoribosyltransferase"
HPRT is a transferase, which catalyzes conversion of hypoxanthine to inosine monophosphate and guanine to guanosine monophosphate via transfer of the 5-phosphoribosyl group from 5-phosphoribosyl 1-pyrophosphate. HPRT, which acts as a catalyst in the reaction between guanine and phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate to form GMP, functions primarily to salvage purines from degraded DNA to renewed purine synthesis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:5000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: FO myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C.
