Description:Substrate for ceramide kinase (CERK),optimized for use with β-Octylglucosidemixed micellar assay.
Assay conditions: Prepare a fresh 1:4mixture of ceramide and ceramidebuffer. Sonicate the mixture 3 times for 2min. using a bath sonicator to make a2.5 X solution (250 µM ceramide). A finalceramide concentration of 100 µM isrecommended. Discard any unusedsubstrate.
Application:Useful as a substrate for CERK activityassays.
Supplied as: A 2-component setcontaining sufficient reagents for 150× 50 µl assays.• Ceramide (0.75 mL @1.25 mM)• Ceramide buffer (2 × 1.5 mL)
Stability: >6 months at –20°C whenstored as components. Preparesubstrate immediately before use.
