Rockland Immunochemicals is well known for its fine selection of antibodies for research on DNA damage and repair. DNA repair refers to a collection of processes by which a cell identifies and corrects damage to the DNA molecules that encode its genome. There are two master kinases, ATM and ATR. ATM responds to DNA double-strand breaks and disruptions in chromatin structure, whereas ATR primarily responds to stalled replication forks. These kinases phosphorylate downstream targets in a signal transduction cascade.
