Cell lysates may serve as positive control of western blotting experiments. After complete solubilization you add 200 µl 2x SDS-PAGE sample buffer, mix and incubate at 90 °C for 5 min. Generally the use of 20 µL for a western blot with chemilumiescent detection is recommended.
