![]() Direct labeling of antibodies can offer significant benefits in techniques such as flow cytometry, ELISA, western blotting and immunohistochemistry. Download now your Guide to Antibody Labeling and Detection (pdf, 350 kB). ![]() Lightning-Link™ antibody labeling kits use a one-step procedure which means that antibody conjugates can be prepared with ease. Hands-on time is less than 30 seconds, irrespective of scale (microgram to milligram amounts). Separation steps are not required and recovery of antibody is close to 100%. Without the problems of crossover and/or non-specific binding from secondary reagents it becomes far easier to obtain good quality data. A reduction in the number of incubation and wash steps also makes assays less tedious and saves time. Unfortunately, there has been no simple way of making directly labeled primary antibodies - until now. Lightning-Link™ uses a one-step procedure which means that conjugates can be prepared with ease. Hands-on time is less than 30 seconds, irrespective of scale. Its easy to label as little as 0.1 mg antibody. Separation steps are not required. Recovery of antibody is close to 100%. Despite its simplicity, Lightning-Link™ is a very sophisticated conjugation system in which the antibody is directionally coupled to the label (and not to itself) in a controlled manner, creating high quality stable conjugates. Antibody Concentration and Clean Up KitIn order tp label all kind of antibodies the Antibody Concentration and Clean Up Kits are helpful. Antibodies are sometimes only available at low concentrations and often contain low molecular weight substances that interfere in labeling reactions with enzymes, biotin, streptavidin and fluorophores. The Antibody concentration and Clean Up Kit allows for the quick and easy concentration of antibodies and proteins. The kit can also be used to reduce the concentration of many unwanted additives often found in antibody formulations such as azide, glycine or tris. The antibody clean up kit method utilizes a simple spin column to easily and quickly remove excess buffer from the antibody thereby providing a more concentrated antibody solution. The clean up kit also allows the experimenter to perform a simple buffer exchange to transfer the antibody into a more favorable conjugation buffer. 861-0005 Antibody Concentration and Clean Up Kit (1 column) 861-0010 Antibody Concentration and Clean Up Kit (3 columns)
