Overview

The Lightning-Link Rapid Antibody Labeling System allows conjugations to be set up in seconds, and used within minutes (less than 20 minutes). By circumventing the desalting or dialysis steps that commonly interrupt traditional protein labeling procedures, Lightning-Link™ Rapid technology can be used to label small quantities of antibody with 100% recovery.

Lightning-Link™ Rapid Atto390 (maximal absorbance 390 nm, maximal emission 479 nm)
Atto 390 is one of a new generation of fluorescent labels with a coumarin structure. It has a strong absorption at 390nm, high fluorescence at 479nm (extinction coefficient 2.4 x10^4 cm-1M-1) and high quantum yield.

Lightning-Link™ Rapid Fluorescein (maximal absorbance 485 nm, maximal emission 535 nm)
Fluorescein is a fluorophore widely used in biological analysis, with a pH dependent absorption and emission spectrum. In water it shows an absorption maximum at 494 nm and an emission maximum of 521 nm.

Lightning-Link™ Rapid Atto488 (maximal absorbance 501 nm, maximal emission 523 nm)
Atto488 is one of a new generation of fluorescent labels, which has been optimised for excitation with an argon laser. It has a strong absorption at 501nm, high fluorescence at 523nm (extinction coefficient 9.0 x10^4 cm-1M-1) and high quantum yield.

Lightning-Link™ Rapid Rhodamine (maximal absorbance 544 nm, maximal emission 576 nm)
The rhodamine used in the Lightning-Link™ Rapid kit has an absorption peak at 520 and 544 nm. Maximum emission is obtained when the rhodamine is excited at 544 nm.

Lightning-Link™ Rapid Cy3 (maximal absorbance 550 nm, maximal emission 570 nm)
Cyanine Dye 3 (Cy3) has a strong absorption peak at 550nm and a secondary absorption peak at 520nm. The maximum emission peak is at 570nm, with an excitation coefficient of 1.5 x10^5 cm-1 M-1. Cy3 can be used as an alternative to Alexa Fluor 555, DY-550, Rhodamine Red-X and TAMRA [5(6)-Carboxytetramethylrhodamine].

Lightning-Link™ Rapid Atto565 (maximal absorbance 563 nm, maximal emission 592 nm)
Atto565 is one of a new generation of fluorescent labels. It has a strong absorption at 563nm, high fluorescence at 592nm (extinction coefficient 1.2 x10^5 cm-1M-1) and quantum yield.

Lightning-Link™ Rapid Atto594 (maximal absorbance 601 nm, maximal emission 627 nm)
Atto594 is a fluorescent label belonging to the Rhodamine class of dyes. The dye has a strong absorption at 601nm, high fluorescence at 627nm (extinction coefficient 1.2 x10^5 cm-1M-1) and quantum yield (0.85).

Lightning-Link™ Rapid Atto633 (maximal absorbance 629 nm, maximal emission 657 nm)
Atto633 is one of a new generation of fluorescent labels. It has a strong absorption at 629nm, high fluorescence at 657nm (extinction coefficient 1.3 x10^5 cm-1M-1) and high quantum yield. Atto633 can be used as a substitute dye for DY-633, LightCycler Red 640, Alexa Fluor 633, and Cy 5.

Lightning-Link™ Rapid Cy5 (maximal absorbance 643 nm, maximal emission 667 nm)
Cyanine Dye 5 (Cy5) has a strong absorption peak at 643nm and a secondary absorption peak at 605nm. The maximum emission peak is at 667nm, with an excitation coefficient of 2.5 x10^5 cm-1M-1. Cy5 can be used as an alternative to AlexaFluor 647, and the phycobiliprotein Allophycocyanin.

FluoProbes®647H is one of a new generation of fluorescent labels designed to label biomolecules. It has a strong absorption at 653nm, high fluorescence at 674nm (extinction coefficient 2.5 x10^5 cm-1M-1) and high quantum yield.

DyLight® 350 provides blue fluorescence for a wide array of fluorescence labeling-based applications. It has a strong absorption at 353nm, high fluorescence at 432nm (extinction coefficient 1.5 x10^4 cm-1M-1) and high quantum yield.

Lightning-Link® Rapid DyLight® 488
DyLight® 488 provides green fluorescence for a wide array of fluorescence labeling-based applications. It has a strong absorption at 493nm, high fluorescence at 518nm (extinction coefficient 7.0 x10^4 cm-1M-1) and high quantum yield.

Lightning-Link® Rapid DyLight® 550
DyLight® 550 emits vibrant orange-to-red fluorescence for a wide array of fluorescence labeling-based applications. It has a strong absorption at 562nm, high fluorescence at 576nm (extinction coefficient 1.5 x10^5 cm-1M-1) and high quantum yield.

DyLight® 594 generates red fluorescence for a wide array of fluorescence labeling-based applications. It has a strong absorption at 593nm, high fluorescence at 618nm (extinction coefficient 8.0 x10^4 cm-1M-1) and high quantum yield.

Lightning-Link® Rapid DyLight® 633
DyLight® 633 provides red fluorescence for a wide array of fluorescence labeling-based applications. It has a strong absorption at 638nm, high fluorescence at 658nm (extinction coefficient 1.7 x10^5 cm-1M-1) and high quantum yield.
