Colony-Stimulating Factors

Biomol offers a wide range of G-CSF, GM-CSF and M-CSF preparations.
Colony-stimulating factors (CSFs) are secreted glycoproteins which bind to receptor proteins on the surfaces of hemopoietic stem cells and thereby activate intracellular signaling pathways which can cause the cells to proliferate and differentiate into a specific kind of blood cell (usually white blood cells).

Colony-stimulating Factors

Cytokines are linked to order information of the relavant cytokines, receptors are linked to order information of the relevant antibodies:

Cytokine Size Receptors Producer Cells Actions
G-CSF (CSF3) 174, monomer,
may function as dimer
G-CSFR (CD114) Fibroblasts and monocytes Stimulates neutrophil development and differentiation
GM-CSF (CSF2) 127, monomer,
may function as dimer
CD116, βγ Macrophages, T cells Stimulates growth and differentiation of myelomonocytic lineage cells, particularly dendritic cells
M-CSF (CSF1) α: 224
β: 492
γ: 406
active forms are mono- or heterodimeric
CSF-1R (c-fms, CD115) T cells, bone marrow stromal cells, osteoblasts Stimulates growth of cells of monocytic lineage
