Mouse Clusterin


Mouse nuclear clusterin from AdipoGen.
Clusterin (apolipoprotein J) is a 75 - 80 kDa disulfide-linked heterodimeric protein associated with the clearance of cellular debris and apoptosis. Clusterin is a secretory heterodimeric disulfied-linked glycoprotein that is expressed in virtually all tissues, and found in all fluids. It is involved in numerous physiological processes important for carcinogenesis and tumor growth, including apoptotic cell death, cell cycle regulation, DNA repair, cell adhesion, tissue remodeling, lipid transportation, membrane recycling, and immune system regulation. Clusterin was first identified in ram rete testis fluid where it showed signs of clustering with rat sertoli cells and erthrocytes, hence its name. The protein itself is a disulfide-linked heterodimeric protein containing about 30% of N-linked carbohydrate rich in sialic acid. Truncated forms targeted to the nucleus have also been identified.

Clusterin is also known as TRPM-2 (testosterone repressed prostate message-2), Apolipoprotein J, APO-J, CLI (complement lysis inhibitor), CLU, or SGP-2 (sulfated glycoprotein-2).

Mouse nuclear clusterin (amino acids 22-448) (AG-40A-0057-C050) is fused at the C-terminus to a His-tag and expressed in E. coli. Liquid. 0.2µm-filtered solution in 55mM TRIS-Cl, pH 8.2, containing 150 mM NaCl.

Biomol also offers canine Clusterin, expressed in human cells. It is a single, glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 436 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 50.72 kDa. The protein is fused with 13 amino acid Flag tag at N-Terminus.
