Anti-Kv2.1 Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Kv2.1 from mouse, monkey, human, and rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Recognizes the Shab related ?-subunit Kv2.1. Cross-reactivity with Kv2.1 from other sources has not been determined. Protein function: Mediates the voltage-dependent potassium ion permeability of excitable membranes. Channels open or close in response to the voltage difference across the membrane, letting potassium ions pass in accordance with their electrochemical gradient. [The UniProt Consortium]
