JHDM1A is a member of the JHDM1 histone demethylase family that contains JmjC domains and regulates transcription. It is also a member of the F-box family of proteins which are components of the SKP1-cullin-F-box (SCF) ubiquitin-protein ligase complex. In addition to the JmjC and F-box domains, JHDM1A also contains a CXXC-type zinc-finger, a PHD-type zinc-finger, and 3 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats. Alternate names for JHDM1A include JmjC domain-containing histone demethylation protein 1A, [histone-H3]-lysine-36 demethylase 1A, F-box/LRR repeat protein 11, G-box protein FBL7, F-box protein Lilina, CXXC-type zinc-finger protein 8, FBXLll, CXX8, FBL7, and KIAA1004.
Immunogen: synthetic peptide. The epitope recognized by IHC-00528 maps to a region between residue 825 and 875 of human JmjC domain-containing histone demethylation protein 1A using the numbering given in entry NP_036440.1 (GeneID 22992).
