Immunogen:synthetic peptide. The epitope recognized by A301-766A-T maps to a region between residue 500 and 550 of human eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4B using the numbering given in entry NP_001408.2 (GeneID 1975).
Bemerkungen:Eukaryotic initiation factor 4B (eIF4B) is a factor required for the binding of mRNA to ribosomes for the initiation of translation. eIF4B has been demonstrated to modulate the helicase activity of eIF4A, a component of the eIF4F complex.
Rabbit anti-eIF4B Antibody, Affinity Purified
Detection of Human eIF4B by Western Blot of Immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-eIF4B antibody A301-766A used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. eIF4B was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-eIF4B antibody A301-767A, which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated eIF4B, A301-767A was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds.
